He guys, looking at picking up a freesync monitor, however I do quite a bit of recording videos with Fraps. I've noticed that this locks your frame rate to a set value when recording, which seems like it would defeat the point of having freesync.
Are all recording programs like this, or just Fraps? And additionally, does Fraps even still work on W10? It's not been updated in years, so does it work with the new version of DirectX that's shipped with W10? Or is it simply time for me to leave it and find a more modern recording solution?
