Recover after a format

Hey, looking for help on recovering files.

My dad formatted my mums laptop thinking he'd backed it all up, for some reason her IE Favs didn't back up and now I'm after a way of looking if they're still on the HDD at all so I can get them. The hard drive has a new install of Vista on now but nothing else.

Give that a shot although I doubt it'll pick much up after a format.

If the drive was only formated you may of got them back....

But i don't think you have much chance now you have written to the harddrive by installing vista

Don't fancy your chances of getting anything off that drive after a Vista install.
