I've scrapped my old PC but kept the hard drives. I'm planning to use that hard drive to put into this PC i'm currently using. Problem is, i can't retreive anything on the administrator's desktop account. I can go into the other folders but not in the admins account.

I go into H:\documents and settings\admin but from there i tells me i dont have the privaliage to get in. Any way around this?

Please help.

Dont know, but this might work. Firstly you need to go into Tools -> Folder options. From there, scroll down and uncheck "use simple file sharing". Click ok and thats that part done.

Now right click the folder you don't have permission to go into, click on properties. Now click the security tab, from there click on "Advanced" at the bottom. This should open up a new screen if im not mistaken. You should also see a tab called "Owner", click on that. You should hopefully see your username under where it says "Change owner to" Click your username and also check the box near the bottom, saying "Replace ownership on subcontainers and objects". Ok it all and exit. Now see if you can get into the folder.

Also, if you dont understand my steps, try this from microsoft:
