My neighbours given me a DVD which contains some family video footage which when last played worked but now the video stutters. I've had a look a the DVD and there are no significant scratches but when I try and copy it it give read errors. Using a variety of DVD drives I've managed to get all the VOBs off the disk except for 1 which just refuses to read 166mb into it.

Have got DVD Decrypter running on the disk at the mo with ignore errors to see what comes back but is there any free software out there that I could maybe try and see if it can get more data back by jiggery-pokery? :)

A Linux distro?
I know it is a very long shot but I once had a problem getting files off a DVD in Windows which would always throw some read errors. In Linux there were no errors for some reason which I still don't quite understand but it worked anyway.

Did some more googling and have come across IsoBuster, as soon as DVD Decrypt finishes, been going now for 2.5 hours am going to give it a go.
