I installed a fresh copy of Vista onto a new hard drive today with the intention of copying across some data from the old hard drive however I am now unable to access the original boot drive that has the old copy of vista in it
In the new version of Vista
-When I try to access the old drive (E
"E:\ if not accessible. The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable"
- In chkdsk "Corrupted master file table. Windows cannot recover master file table"
- In disk management it sees it as a 232GB RAW disk (correct size).
Any ideas how I can either revert back to booting to the old Windows Vista install or access the drive so I can get some files from it?
