recovering data after deleting a partition

Lo all,

Don't ask me how I did it but I was formating my HDD for a fresh windows install and deleted the partition for my backup hard drive which has all of my work/drivers etc on it.

Is there any way I can get the data back? I tried spinrite but it just skipped over the drive because it wasn't partitioned.

Any bright ideas?

ooh i did this just a few months ago

you haven't written anything on the drive no? -JUST deleted the partition information?

use TESTDISK to get it back

just click on the NT/XP one, it'll open in a cmd box and is simple to use (might be easier to understand if you turn off other external drives

it just scans the partition information for recent changes and can undo them

best part, its freeware

-edit, once its worked, send a donation, for me this was an absolute LIFESAVER as i deleted the partition on my 250gb backup drive! would have taken hours and hours to resort the data!
