My girlfriends iMac G4 died and we want to recover the data from the hard drive.
Ive taken the Mac apart and got the hard drive out, its just a standard Seagate 7200 80gb drive.
Plugged it into my computer and it detects it in the bios but windows doesnt pick it up when it loads up. As i want to then plug a USB hard drive in to recover the data which we can then plug into her laptop.
Do iMacs have a funny hard drive format, not FAT32 or NTFS for example hence why windows doesnt see it?
Thanks.
