My friend has an SD card that was plugged into a camcorder which obviously was being used to record videos and pictures. At the end of a skiing holiday after using it daily he fired up the camcorder and was greeted with a message stating the sd card wasn't formatted He's tried the card in an external card reader and gets the 'card not formatted' message in windows also. He's asked me if theres any way to recover the data that was stored on the card, i know theres data recovery software available but will it work if the cards not formatted? If not, any suggestions how i could go about recovering his data if its even possible?
