Recovery Partition

I'm trying to re-install XP, and notice the Aspire desktop has a recovery partition - but can't see an option to boot from this - any ideas?

it's one of those i can't assign a drive letter to in Disk Management.......

Usually it's an F key at boot up and it should say which while displaying the initial boot options, if not try the boot device option key.

Failing that there will probably be a system recovery option from within XP itself that will kick off the recovery process, look in the start menu under the Acer entries.
