I've been looking to cook some more delicate dishes and make them more appetizing with nice presentation. I really like plain white rectangular plates so I can space things out along them. The problem is they all seem to cost a fortune and I really don't have a clue what sizes to buy for starters, mains and deserts.

Can anyone recommend some decent ones for a reasonable price? They all seem to be coming in at around the £10 each mark for what looks like a decent sized dinner plate and I could really do without spending that much!

OK thanks for all the responses. Basically they are all expensive so am gonna have to stop being a ***** and dip my hands deeper in the wife's purse ;)

So, what sizes would people recommend for:

Starter
Mains
Desserts

Thought I would spell that out as it goes without saying someone will come up with one for a course I've never heard of :D

I'm after square cornered rectangular plates with edges like these.
