Hey all,

Back in April I replaced my secondary storage drive due to the original dropping out of the system or randomly freezing up, it was under warranty so I intended to send it off (eventually).

However its now happened to the replacement Secondary drive :(

I'm on Windows 7 with a DFI Lanparty P45 T2RS motherboard, today it wouldn't post at all so I opened it up, swapped the sata cables around and ran a repair and I'm here. Anyone got any ideas? This is the Event Viewer errors so far -

The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume D:.
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, is not ready for access yet.
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort3.
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation.

The drive in question is a Samsung EcoGreen F2 1TB Hard Drive, anyone got any idea whats going wrong or is my motherboard Sata dying.

Cheers.

I had the DFI P45 T2RS plus motherboard with similar booting problems.

Sometimes i had this ' bzbzbzbzbz' showing instead of the drive name/info in bios screen.
xp was repaired and reinstalled many times, drive was all set for RMA (WD vel 300gb).

Problem turned out to be the sata cables DFI supplied, never had the problem again since the sata cables changed.

Awesome stuff, still waiting on getting a different cable as its the only one I don't carry spares on. I'll hopefully never post back as it works so cheers for the answers both. :)
