Ever since Fallout 3, I have had a rather annoying issue with the graphics engine that Bethesda utilises.
If I have HDR enabled and I look at the sunny sky everything gets bright, as it should. But, when I look at the floor again the picture noticably gets slowly darker. This wouldn't be a problem if it was only when I looked directly in to the sun, but it happens if I so much as look up slightly. The constant change between the two brightness levels really starts to grate after a while.
But, it seems that having crossfire on alleviates the issue... but then I get a mild microstutter. I have played with bloom on instead, but I think HDR really makes the game look a lot better.
The same scenario has been happening for me with Skyrim, but it seems that crossfire enabled stops the issue totally... but I thought skyrim didnt have a CAP?
I'm not sure if I have explained this as best I could, but can anybody give me so info in to how I can avoid this, what I would describe as, light flicker?
