Recycle Bin Error?

I've got an Asus RT-N56U router and i'm currently running a USB Flash drive on it as a remote storage device for my pictures and document folders etc.

However, whenever I try and empty my recycle bin i get an error saying

"the recycle bin on <flash drive path> is corrupted, do you want to empty the recycle bin for this device?"

Regardless of what I press this error continues to appear a few times, then the normal windows recycle bin will empty. Also sometimes when just navigating through Windows Explorer the above error will randomly appear.

I've tried to navigate to the folder where this recycle bin is meant to be and despite having hidden folders set to on it doesn't appear.

However, navigating via run "RemotePath\Pictures\$Recycle.Bin

does bring up the hidden recycle bin folder and always has a desktop.ini file in it(if i delete it, it reappears straight away).

I've no idea on how to stop this error and its really annoying. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Have you tried disabling the recycle bin for that drive?

Right click on Recycle bin then Properties.

Tried, right clicked and shows my 2 local hard drives, my documents, my pictures etc.

I clicked my pictures(as the recycle bin is on my remote pictures folder) but no option to disable it just to lower the maximum size or not show any dialog
