I've managed to get Tiberian Sun running fine on my Vista laptop just by changing compatibility modes, but RA2 refuses to work, keeps throwing up a string initialization error or something similar when you try and load it (though it installed fine). Anyone got it working?

Im sure I had problems with RA2 running on XP sometime back. Anyone use it on XP?

Xp always worked fine, been playing it once in awhile in xp pro 32bit, in vista x64 it works also in admin mode.

Hell, I even played a langame @ my mates home with 1 copy on vista 32 bit and one copy on xp 32 bit ( I think one of them was vista anyhow, could have been xp )

One graphics card

1st set video output to strech horizontally across 2 screens ( in nvidia /ati drivers), so NOT desktop extention to 2nd screen/dualview .

Then in ra2.ini inside the ra 2 folder:

look up

[Video]
ScreenWidth=1024
ScreenHeight=768
StretchMovies=no

and change it to

[Video]
ScreenWidth=2880
ScreenHeight=900
StretchMovies=no

@ cyber-mav & crunchman, I have no idea sorry :( .

I'd like to hear about this as well, I haven't had a LAN game in years.
