Just woundered if any of you play red alert 3 ? i really love this game and would be cool to play a little online with some forum members :D

I can't play any of the C&C games anymore after SupCom. Feels like someone is constantly pushing my face against the screen and I constantly find myself trying to scroll out. Unless I can find a way to zoom out then I'm going to have to wait for EA to put that feature into a follow up title before I can start playing them again.

the wheel on the mouse lets you zoom in and out?

i have had this game for about 3 months now and its still in the wrapper not had the time to give it a go yet, should really as i loved the others. i do hope its up to the same standards

RA3 was pretty crap, its great to see ea take complaints seriously...like i don't know the fact that since generals people have complained that the zoom out distance wasn't enough and to this day its not changed. Just a typical example of ea thrashing the same old archaic engine and being unwilling to invest in it to either upgrade or replace it.

As for the c&c series, been crap for years now imo, theres another gdi and nod game coming but..looks like the same old enigne, same old crap. zzzzz

I enjoy RA3 skirmish and solo, not the online though.

I prefer Generals zero hour, definatley the best RTS I've ever played...that isn't saying a lot though, only played C&C xD

I don't mean to be a ****, but where on earth has this spelling 'wondered' as 'woundered' come from?! It's not the first time I've seen it!

You don't mean to, but you are. I'm woundering why :O

Kidding, maybe it's just one of those words y'know? Gamers aren't known for their literacy!

They can't spell because they're thick!
RA3 was great for single player but its a simple gamers RTS, its not aimed at hardcore Cossacks fans like me who like no rush time, resource management and huge battles. The casual gamer / masses can't cope with gathering more than 1 resource (Cossacks has 6, AoE has 3), economic management etc.
When it comes to multiplayer Age of Empires 3: Asian Dynasties has been the best RTS ever made to date. Nothing has the same level of quality of graphics, interface, variety of units / nations and balance.

RA3 is utterly dire. CBA to even complete it got about 30% through it then gave up revoked my licence and put it on a shelf as cannot sell it apparently as its linked to my EA account

EA totally destroyed the franchise with this one which is why they made the DLC download only as no demand for it. I cannot imagine C&C4 selling well either as EA are really not doing anything new just rehashing 15 year old gameplay which was great then but now its tired.

RIP C&C

I must admit, I love making a navy on RA3! Nothing like harboring a horde of destroyers (or whatever those soviet warships are called) and the submarines! sucks for anti air though...

It was dreadful, and this is coming from a C&C fanboy.

Biggest problem I found was the amphibious side of it. It just removes half the fun of the game when there are no proper choke points, as someone can just send an army across the water.

There is no friendly AI in Red Alert: Uprising so unsurprisingly the campaigns are somewhat harder and the commanders challenge can be extremely difficult. The AI is still unbalanced, the Soviets will destroy the Allies on a land map 99 times out of 100 because they only make 2 airfields and the Allied AI can't expand properly.
