Red angel eyes

Just saw a current 5 series coming towards me with red angel eyes. Apart from looking strange is this even legal?

Nope.

A few Taxis in Birmingham have them in their DRL/Parking light thingys. Looks awful anyway!

That's what I thought, did leave me wondering what happens when the main lights are switched on? Must have some sort of multi coloured leds I reckon.

The Angel Eye DRL's dim when the headlight is turned on so will hardly be noticeable. There is a 3series going around near me with blue Angels, surprised he hasn't had a tug.

As long as they don't flash I don't think there's a legal issue with this is there?

As long as does not flash or for use as a warning light, as a side light it could be said it is a warning light and most the police would pull it just for the hell of it.

I've seen some kits that are like the LED kits you can get for the home now.
App on yer phone to change the colours of the LED's, pretty much instantly.

I understood, and correct me if I'm wrong, that you can't show any blue lights unless you're an emergency vehicle (the blue-tint on some Xenon headlights doesn't count )

Seen it all now. Saw a Golf with what I can only describe as the bumper that boats use when moored hanging over the drivers window in line with the wing mirror. It was bright white/cream, the width of the glass and was hung horizontally.

Presumably the drivers has got sick of the wing mirror being smashed off?

I was under the impression that the only colours that were allowed for non emergency vehicles were white and amber to the front, and red and amber to the rear, with the exception of reverse lamps.
