Red Bull in F1?

Hi all,

I have just been reading an article over on AS (yes, its a friday, i'm allowed to skive off work!)...

There was a commernt made by CH that says...

Is he saying that RB has been in F1 for 15 years, or am I missunderstanding him?

I don't beleive that there has been an RB sponsor on the side of a car or otherwise back in 1996!?

Am i missing the point?

Yeah Red Bull sponsored Sauber for many years before entering their own team.

I think the longest Sponsor/Team tie up in F1 is McLaren and TAG, although I may be wrong.

I also found that Marlboro still sponsor on the Ferrari F150 with a little 'bar-code' like thing!

Ah, it was Hugo Boss, not TAG. Knew it was McLaren though.

But for Team&Sponsor combo, couldn't tell you

The Team is still called Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro.

It is a bit lol. Tobacco advertising is banned, yet the team can still be called Marlboro :confused:

They did, yes, until the FIA actually realised what was happening and told them to stop it, hence why it is now just a white square-like shape.

Red Bull sponsored Arrows as well (through Enrique Bernoldi) in 2001 and 2002.

It was the best livery they have had since.... the original orange McLarens!
