Red Bull RB11 2015 Launch Thread

Think I'm in danger of having a completely misleading title here.

Not only is Red Bull set not to have a launch tomorrow morning, opting rather to take to the circuit once the pit lane opens. But there is rumour also that they will be using the RB10... in camouflage.

If true it's thought the RB11 will have some trick stuff and be introduced around Barcelona by which time there will be less time for other teams to copy.

Would explain why the photo of the car under a sheet in another thread looked like the RB10...

It's only just passed the crash tests. If it failed, they'd have been a bit stuffed as you're not allowed to test with a car that hasn't passed the crash tests.

If they can fit the current engine to last years car without significant mods, then it would get them some experience and miles on the new engine.

Do we know the purpose of the livery yet? Is it an RB10 with a new nose?

Its not like when car makers test on the road and use camo to make it difficult to make out details on a hastily taken camera phone shot. There are going to be hundreds of high zoom high quality still and video cameras pointed at this for 4 days, so the camo will make no difference there.

Good PR stunt though, the only photos I've seen of testing so far are of the RBZerbra.

Na, The Ferrari had a much more dramatic "dip". Looks very similar to the 2014 Merc.
