Red Bull Track Attack - Cardiff Final (Karting)

Not going myself, one of my best mates from uni has gotten through to todays finals, so today him and 12 others will be racing against 3 Red Bull Racing F1 drivers, Klien, Liuzzi and Speed around the streets of Cardiff in a few heats.

Red Bull have given him quite a bit of hospitality for it, put up in a 4* hotel for the night last night, and he gets to keep his race suit, gloves, shoes and helmet he uses today. Wishing him the best of luck, as although I don't think you actually win much, it's a good thing to be doing in front of a few thousand people and getting to drive with some F1 drivers.

There's also a celebrity race, (yay), which are all z-listers I think, including Goldie and Myleene Klass I think!

Mate came 4th overall (excluding the F1 drivers), he's pretty happy with it.

He said it was rather insane with the amount of injuries and crashes that apparently happened over the day, especially one guy rolling his kart. One of the most dangerous karting events people had seen.

Making it worse, some of the celbrities hadn't driven fast go-karts before, and the track being rather narrow caused even more fun.
