Red Dead for only £25!!!

http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=do+littlewoods+honour+discount+codes

Really? This is a Littlewoods group operation so googling them gives better results.

The very first result is
http://www.bitterwallet.com/littlewoods-promotional-vouchers-a-case-of-bait-and-switch/4023

The thing is that that discount code wasn't sent to you personally and so they're perfectly entitled to decide not to honour it.

Some Littlewoods group small print:

2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-

(i) you are entitled to use the code;
(ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
(iii) you agree to the terms set out below.

If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

I really hope it works for you, I seriously do - it's just that I wouldn't want to risk it myself especially when that £25 can turn into £40

I should say i got the codes from topcashback.co.uk

I've also checked with a few poeple from ebay who have been selling these codes for 99p or so and they are all the same codes.

If very gave these codes to topcashback to give to it's members, how would very know that your not a member??

for them to be able to say 'that code wasn't given to you' would mean that every member on topcashback would have a different set of codes. This isn't the case, so I reakon we're all ok :)

I suggest that if your worried to check your back ac**** the day the item has been dispatched and if they haven't refunded you the £20 then refuse the delivery. then you can claim the whole £45 back.

All the very codes on that site are posted by members, not by the actual site and it says
Discount codes added by Top CashBack should be able to be used in conjunction with our cashback, however, we cannot guarantee that this is the case for discount codes added by our members or sourced elsewhere.
Link to all the Very codes with name of person who posted them.

I'm going to let this go now because obviously people who have already ordered are going to be angry with me, nobody wants to be stung and I hope that if (god forbid) you are stung all your methods of getting your cash back do work out for you.
I know that this happened on moneysavingsexpert.com and lots of people got ripped off but the head of the moneysavings site got them their cash back, but he did also say that the codes were against the rules of his site (not open to all) and won't let them be used agan.

Anyways, that's it from me, everyone at least knows all the risks involved now and can make an informed decision.

Yes, there have been incidents, but lots of people (me included) have been using the codes for various things (e.g. MSPoints) for the last 6 months with no issues, I think you are right to point out that there is potential that they may take more money as per their small print, so you need to go in eyes open..

well i have got mine today and checked my bank and ive been charged the full 45. Can you still return it if you have opened the game?

Same here. :(

If you check your account, under track order, you'll notice they've only applied the free postage coupen from your order.

Oh well, arranging a return was simple enough and at least I know never to use them again.

Edit: I may of jumped the gun a bit there. I've just checked my accounts transaction history and it says my card was credited £20 yesterday. :o

Just ordered it myself and noticed this at the bottom of the email:

very said:
If you have paid for your order with a credit or debit card then we will process your payment in two stages. First we will charge your card with the full price of the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount. Please note that the payment and refund may not occur simultaneously but the refund will be made no later than when your order is despatched.

Sweet :D

Has anyone who has used these codes, had the game delivered but not had a refund from Very yet??

I'd like to know how successful this has been.

I also noticed that COD Back OPS is available on pre-order for £35 when using some codes.
