Red Dwarf: Series 10

Robert Llwellyn has announced that a 10th series of Red Dwarf has been commissioned and will be filmed in 2010.

Back To Earth wasn't tooooo bad, but agree they need to up the ante for series 10, otherwise I will loose all hope...

Scripts already written.......hmm. Last episodes seriously needed better gags.

How could you not have seen season 9? It put to rights everything which went wrong in season 8. Some of the best and funniest episodes ever were in season 9.

Only joking. I believe the writers said they would not be interested in doing a season 9 but would definitely be on board for a season 10.

Wonder if it's Dave funding it or the BBC. I hate for them to be on those dodgey looking cgi sets instead of the dodgey looking cardboard sets.

Back to earth was not as bad as everyone made out. It certainly wasn't classic dwarf, but it wasn't bad. I also think hey have learnt a lot from back to earth and what appealed in the classic series.

Terrible news.

I love Red Dwarf but every time they commission some new episodes they get gradually worse.

The 3 part Back to Earth thing was terrible (Despite having a few good jokes)

At times I found some of the jokes embarrassingly cringeworthy...

Needs to go back to it roots, simple tasteless toilet humour with some ridiculous Alien / Monster dudes thrown in for good measure.

I thought it was pretty amazing to be honest... Just sets the scene nicely for a comeback. Like the Shooting Stars Anniversary Special did.

Personally I can't watch series 8,...so I thought the specials were as about on par really. At least the specials were actually a super clever idea for a comeback - break the 4th wall but write in jumping the shark as bad writing. And whilst tipping hat to Blade Runner. Plus the zooming in on the raindrop for a reflection was okay too. Honestly, it was pretty good really!!!

I really hope they add the audiance back as that made it loads better as they could play off the laughs.

Never been the same since they took it out.

I really hope its more back on red dwarf as well and not just starbug hopping. And defo more rimmer and lister based episodes as they were the best ones.
