Red Faction on Widescreen? (1680x1050)

Is there any way to make Red Faction run at 1680x1050? right now i'm restricted to 1280x1024. any help appreciated.

I played through this about 18 months ago which was before I had a WS monitor, however I do remember tweaking something to let me play in 1600x1200. I think it was just a case of an .ini or registry edit.
