Anyone here having trouble with 975/ICH7 boards since the latest updates for Red Hat.

Updated CentOS 5 and it stops reading my ICH7 RAID0 volume which was working before.

Reinstalled base CD and works again.

CentOS 5.1 installs then reboots do the initial boot setup , ie username, NTP etc and then reboots again and fails to read.

Wandering if anyone else seeing anything similar

It was working flawlessly before the latest updates last week.

See if you can boot from a liveCD and go back to the last kernel. Once I get a kernel working perfectly I make sure *kernel* is in yum.conf in the exclude line.

So far I have manged toget it to upgrade by doing the update in stages. If I update kernel and kernel-devel on there own then upgrades and reads the volume fine.

My last part now is getting rid of Mail and Printing Services off the box without losing the Gnome Desktop, but is at least progress.

I use the add/remove programs and untick. Unfortunately I am real close on my download limit for the month now so going to try after christmas and new download limit kicks in.
