red light camera flashed me but i didnt run it

i was stopped at a red light for about 15 seconds and the red light camera flashed me but i wasnt moving and dont think i was over the line, there was a car over the road and he looked stationary as well, the camera was behind me facing the rear of my car, about 10 seconds later the lights turn to green and i drive off normally.

no traffic passed the other way while i was waiting either.

could it be because i was speeding abit and the camera facing towards me clocked me and the other camera took the photo for evidence but if so why wait 15 seconds to do so. btw i did some research and the camera model is Speedcurb camera.

any help?

I'd be surprised if the image isnt binned as it wont show anything, if its as you say.

The camera takes two pictures as far as I'm aware and the second one won't show you going progressing over the line and across the road so you're fine. It's likely it was just a malfunctioning camera anyway.

fingers crossed, i was being abit stupid previously to that camera. i dont normally speed atall on main roads as i learned my lesson at a younger age,

i was just pratting about in my car trying to see which rpm my turbo kicked in :S think i hit 50 in a 30 and instantly slammed my anchors on when i saw my speed.

same it was the astra, in the diesel you would have been protected by a ploom of black smoke.

Do these cameras check speed aswell?

I passed one today, little yellow with two lenses and im sure it flashed.. could have been my imagination, but i was facing towards it when i pased, but the lights were on green.

the main fixed camera in that area is disabled, and i was told that traffic light one doesnt work either but if ive seen it flash...
Dunno how its done it as im sure i was past it before it flashed.

Nah wasnt one of them, googled and its called a PEEK camera.
But it does say traffic speed in the title so looks like ive been had.
