Red light cameras and NIPs?

Quick question, are these things fully automated, i.e will I automatically receive a NIP based on setting one of these things off, or does someone "vet" them before sending one out?

I've literally (in like the last 15 mins) just set one off, however the lights that they are watching had just changed from red, meaning I'd have crossed on green. Surely a photo of this will go in my favor?

Do I even need to be concerned? Will the NIP even be sent?

You'll probably receive a NIP.

If you've triggered the camera you jumped the gun.

You're supposed to wait for green and it looks like you went through on red or red & amber.

If you crossed a light on green the photo will show a car crossing a line on a green traffic light. No offence commited, no NIP, nothing to prosecute for.

If the light had just changed from red then it'll have changed to red & amber not green.

That's how they work.

It's pretty unlikely that the camera would have operated if you'd actually crossed the line on green.

You'll have to wait and see.
