hi All.

Got an Asus ROG PG279Q and its got one red pixel thats dead or stuck right out of the box.

Because its a red pixel, i think its stuck, not dead.

As its withing 14 days, i can return without giving a reason, if i wish.

Is there a way to fix? Tried the scrambler box and that didnt work.

Not fixable. Ask the vendor if they're willing to replace it due to this fault, if they say no, return within your 14 days and buy another from somewhere else :)

Asus almost certainly won't consider it a fault, do not let the vendor push you off on them and waste your cooling off period! Common trick :/

You should at least try the route of return because of the pixel. It may depend on their policy and if they will accept it as faulty... of course they SHOULD, but often with monitors the pixel policy usually requires multiples for them to accept a return. You are still of course entitled to return within 14 days anyway, for any reason, but speak to them about the pixel and see what they say.

Return and refund, don't RMA/ask them to replace it. If you do, it is typically replaced with a used one, when you paid the money for new.
