oh god im not looking forward to speaking to microsoft...do they put you on hold for ages?

Assuming you can get one that can actually speak some form of coherent engrish the waiting times not too bad. Most likely though you will get some git on the phone who has you spell every other word.

How long is the expected waiting time to get ya box back now? When I first sent mine back it was 15 days, the second time it was 25 days... the second time it come back on the 25th day (it was a refurb

).

The first dude I spoke to the first time was great, spoke PERFECT english, the second time was a woman and I swear she was a robot?!?!

I got through to MS in about 20secs, phone call was free and the woman had good English speaking, it was all done very quickly.

same here good english speaking woman it was 24 WORKING days on the dot fro mwhen they got it to when i got it back turned out it was the DVD drive but why on earth did that stop there being any A/V on the screen with no rings , was very odd , been fine since i got it back

does this just happen with old xbox 360 that first came out. or is it with all the xboxes.

otherwise ill just wait till a second version of 360 is released where bugs/problems are fixed. especially cooling and sound

The sound of the xbox will never be 'fixed'. The 3 ring issue has apparently been fixed with the newest revisions of the xbox but i doubt any of the newer ones are actually on the shelves yet. You may have to wait a few months if you want one of the more reliable ones
