Hey,

I've put together my new system

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Team T-Force Night Hawk RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4 GB Video Card
Case: Corsair 110R ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic CORE GM 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 PWM PST 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan x 2

I've booted it up and am getting no display either through the on board HDMI port or through the graphics card.

There is a red VGA light on the motherboard. Everything powers up, lights up and fans are running.

Any ideas?

Motherboard HDMI won't work as your CPU has no iGPU. - No video output.

Have you tried reseating the graphics card, or putting it in a different slot ? Power cable attached ?

** edit : Does the motherboard box say Ryzen 3000 ready anywhere on it ?

Are you sure that the board has BIOS version 7B85v17 as that is the minimum required BIOS for the R7 3700x (as the board you have does have a flash BIOS button on the back you should be able to download the required BIOS and flash it as long as it does not require a compatible processor to be able to flash a new BIOS even using that button).

This.

Here's a vid showing how to use the flashback, bear in mind it works just the same with all the components connected so no need to strip it down.
