Looking to buy an Osmium kb later today and was very much set for the brown switched version once i am able to have a test type in-store, but then i have noticed that the red switched version of the same model is £10 cheaper - any reason for this?

Reds arent anywhere near as nice to type on, they're pretty much exclusively gaming switches in my experience. Brown offers a nice compromise between the lightness of the reds and the typing/feel of blues, which alongside blacks, make it best switch imo.

Agreed with above, Browns make excellent all round switches.

For the price difference, I believe there is often shortages with the supply on MX Brown switches, causing the higher price.
