Hey , currently own 5.1 phillips system and looking to move to the creative 7900 system. however i want a system that works with Xbox 360 and my lush pc so need the Audio Red/White converter for the speakers...

i want to use the VGA cables you see which comes with inputs for it, i noticed that some speakers come with adapter , but i checked ebay and cant find ANY :( so thinking i will ask you lot if you could help find a converter :p

Red/white which the 7.1 system can use

By the looks of it that lead will only carry stereo, not 5.1/7.1. Dunno exactly which outputs the 360 has and with which leads, but I'm guessing it has some way of doing digital optical out, which you could then connect to certain PC speaker sets (but not all).

As far as I can tell, the 7900 don't have optical or coaxial digital intputs, or a decoder. You could easily get a connector to connect that lead into the 7900 but you'd only get stereo sound, so only front L/front R and the sub would be used. No surround sound then.

You really want some speakers with a decoder and optical input, and whichever 360 lead gives you optical output. Logitech Z-5400 would do the trick, with 2 optical and one coaxial digital inputs.
