is there a reason why Red things are so damn hard to photograph and get a good representation of?

i know form paitnign that red is the hardest colour to paint / get right but whenebver i photograph it or see pics fo red things they alwasy just look shoddy

whats the technical reason behind this ?

Because it's at the end of the spectrum? Maybe the visible colour slowly slides off into infrared, and as we can't paint infrared we lose something.

Am I talking nuts?

perhaps i should have mentioned paitnign

its mainly photographing it i have problems with ( but as well as that its a pain in the bum to mix a nice red colour in paint lol )

maybe your right about the spectum thingie though
