Hi there,

I wonder if you guys can help me out. One of our customers has about 30 Redhat servers on their estate, all setup with the correct subscriptions to the Redhat network for downloading patches etc.

We're pretty much on the ball with this, but I can't get a straight answer from the guys in the unix/linux team about the following:

Would we expect to see patches to redhat released as frequently as Microsoft patch windows? or is it more of a case that redhat release patches as and when and it could be months between releases?

your normally find more patches on linux released more regularly than windows as linux vendors such as redhat dont just support linux but all the other software that is installed as well. It would also depend on what software is installed on the boxes.
