I've got a RH box with a load of static routes configured in routes-eth0 for various things. I've had to change one of them to point it elsewhere but I'm just wondering how its best to actually reload the file and get the box to notice them?

I know it can be done with 'service network restart' but I presume this will cause a load of connections that are currently in use to drop out.

Is there a way of reloading the routes and getting the box to notice changes without dropping the networking at all?

Cheers,
Andy
