Redirecting 'My Documents' Folder

Hi. I'm on windows 7 home premium. I want to redirect this folder to another drive. I'm just concerned because all my saved games etc are in the my documents folder so redirecting it will cause issues with all my games.

Will this happen? If so, is there any way to prevent it? Thanks

the whole point is that it should be invisible to other apps. it works fine and i've been doing it ever since windows 2000 supported it.
