red light on optial out put in xfi gamer sound card any ideas

just changed pc case and then added an aditional sata drive to my rig
and now i have RED light on the optial output on my creative xfi xtreme gamer sound card any one got any ideas of what is causing this

it works other wise just curious to see what the red light was and why its on

That's how optical works, clue's in the name

Opitical signals are basically light signals, which is what that red light is. Perfectly normal
