Redoing Apartment Kitchen

We have a kitchenette in our apartment, which I don't like. It's useless, so I'm going to rip it out.

I want to maximise the space there, worktop wise and cupboard wise and I've been looking at corner sinks like:

With the end product of our mini kitchen looking like this:

My issue is that I cannot find anywhere that does these sorts of units off the shelf. The place isn't in the UK but I'll probably get the bits from over there and slap them all together.

At the moment there is a useless 2 hob, that's built in to the sink/draining board and it takes up most of the space on the top, and I want to be able to have a 4 hob and a corner sink.

The space is small, I mean 139cm gap, small. But, a 4 ring hob is ~60cm and this will take a corner ~60cm so you have an extra 20cm and extending round the corner (which it doesn't currently do) opens up another potential 60x60cm chopping area that isn't there currently.

This is my first DIY of this sort, kitchen related, but I'm pretty handy. Anyone have any suggestions for space saving, use of space, or comments about the idea.

Plus, anyone know where I can get this corner type unit from in flat pack off the shelf style?!

Right, since I'm all up for this stuff now. Fully pumped and excited about a nice challenge here but as this is mine, I want to make it right.

It shouldn't cost much, as it's not very big at all, but the layout is sack. I have some pics of how it is now (prepare for micro kitchen).

Now, this is what I would like to do, task wise;

- remove divider 1/2 wall section to open up room
- remove all floor units as they are
- replace floor units, and add corner unit, to make in to an L shape (to finish where divider was)
- replace wall units (gap is 139cm) with 120cm unit, plus a space for chopping boards.
- replace ceiling lights
- redo floor section
- better all round lighting
- corner sink, sitting in corner unit
- replace hob with 4 ring ceramic where current one is, with oven kitchen unit below, to fit oven in to.
- move fridge to other side of the L, near divider.

That's roughly what I'm looking to do. My issue is, I'm not sure what to do about units, due to the size it's not greatly easy to get them off the shelf!

Any ideas? Or places I should try to contact? I'm in France but sure I could get someone to always bring it down from the UK if I could get it made to fit.

I think I could do it all for about 1k, maybe 1.5k inc electrics as well (oven and hob, sink & tap) but ideas massively appreciated. Some of you have worked wonders :P

That would be ideal, but at a width of 900, in a space that's 1360 leaves 460 in a space I'd need 600 for the oven space, which seems to be the issue trying to get it to all fit with off the shelf parts. Swines.

I think I can get a 4 hob in there... 600mm is the size of a 4 hob, which is the same size of the base unit to house an oven. Which I want to get in there as well, and get rid of that god awful combi oven that is there now. Wanting to rent it out for next season, so having the ability to knock up food easily is a must, which is hard now.

I think we'll go down there in a few weeks and start to take the wall down there, as we have time, and we're not reliant on the kitchen. Just as long as it gets done (my biggest issue :P)

So now I married her, I have organisational time free, so I've been looking out for some bargains.

Spotted this hob: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190881603971?item=190881603971&autorefresh=true which I've put in an offer for.

Also looking at some ovens and ceramic hobs on the cheap. I'm not too worried about it not being a all you can spend oven, as the one there is so useless, anything would be better.

Also looking for new light fittings for the ceiling. I think I'll grab an LED unit to save money if I'm renting out too.

Once I've picked up a few bits I'll look at the units and worktop. It's damn small as an area, so shouldn't be costly to pick up either.

Same with the flooring. I can tart that lot up for 50euros and make it look decent! (I hope :p )

See what I can source!

Ah, well I just bought a set together, 2nd hand off the bay. 60cm ones, but should maybe just about be able to fit it all in there with some buggery.

Sink I got for 115 after haggling and oven and seperate hob for 72! Bargains.

That's the sink...

The hob and oven.

Been looking at some LED ceiling lights too, so will get one of those and then start looking at which combination of units I can mash together.

Nah, only ceramic. I was looking at induction and it was going to cost me a bucketload more. This is a holiday home which will be rented out, so I didn't want to fork out too much in case I had to replace it again.

Yea, good thoughts! We'd thought about that for the sink, just before I found that corner sink there (which was a little bigger than a caravan one) but I will defo have a look for bits!
