Ok, this year will be the year of the bathroom, when that bit of my house is hopefully transformed from the highlight tasteful apricot and floral pattern that it is, to a modern room with nice white fittings, non mouldy grout, etc.

I've measured out the room and have a rough idea of the layout I want to go for, so now I'm into looking around showrooms (locally and online), and trying to figure out where to get everything from. I'll do most of the work myself, I was just looking for recommendations from people on where to source all the bathroom stuff - I'm doing the whole lot, from tiles right through to shower enclosure and shower bar.

Any and all suggestions welcomed!

Cheers.

Wow, loads of info there macca, cheers!

So far...

I have a good idea of requirements, just don't know the specific items that will fulfill those requirements at this point.

Not sure about the underfloor heating as it's not a particularly cold room, but I was intending to put in a towel radiator which should tick the box at least.

I'll probably skip the heated mirror, never been a fan.

Downlighters are something I've really been thinking about - how do you find them vs a normal single fitting? It's not a huge room (about 2.5m square), but I can easily get into the loft space above to run wiring to fit them if I choose to.

Not heard of the heat recovery vents before, I'll look into those, thanks.

Avoiding a bath like the plague, it will be a shower only room!

Get LED's but beware some new led fittings that are guarantied for 20 years etc are only covered if installed by a Part P electrician so if they should fail the manufacturer would ask for your test certificate for that particular circuit.

Useful to know, cheers. Fortunately I have a sparky mate so if needs be I'll call in a favour!
