Redsnow lite was released on the 31/1 so has anyone tried it yet?

yes. worked perfectally and its sat ehre fully jailbroken and running well
took me about 2 hours to get all the stuff together (and most of that is moving files across directories or downloading the firmware).
unfortunately this is only redsn0w lite, therefore if you turn off your ipod it wont turn back on without running it in DFU mode and entering about 11 lines of code.
if you dont want to have the hastle of doing that every time your ipod reboots, then wait for the offical redsn0w jailbreak

Its just the codename for the iPod Touch 2G jailbreak.
Think the iPhone one is called YellowSnow or something.
Tempted to do it myself, but the entering codes after every reboot is annoying, even though i never reboot my touch unless i have too.
yellowsn0w is the iPhone 3G Unlock, an unlock and a jailbreak are completely different things,
Redsn0w is a jailbreak tool that allows custom code to be ran on the system.
i'd reccommend trying to jailbreak it, its simple once you get to grips with the files, however i did have some problems putting my ipod 2G into DFU mode (which is required to both jailbreak it and boot it up) so i have to use XP temporarly until the full jailbreak appears.
