Its a shame dude that you have to go through this over xmas.

But all is not lost. Have a look here fella as there are many more in the same boat this time or anytime of year. :)

Have a good xmas buddy and keep it strong ;)

Just for the rest of you. The above is detailing no medical advice whatsoever. It is purely redirection to a better site for help and support.

Another vote for getting out somewhere where the fresh air can leak into your bones. Walking around is also a great time to do some thinking. Sat around at home it's easy to get locked into a certain pattern of thinking. But outside, around natural scenery (if you have any nearby!) your brain is getting input which evolution designed it for.

That sounds daft, but our domestic lives are pretty unnatural. Open air encourages open thinking... I find anyway. Mind you, it's getting dark out there now, and that's not going to cheer anyone up!

I always try to keep a book in reserve which I really want to read. I save such books for times when I need a break from reality, or to change my mental direction. Ok, computer games can give a similar escape, but there's a different kind of temporary escape available between the non-techy covers of a paperback.

I also store up comedy shows for times when I really need a laugh, both on my PVR and as podcasts. You might try listening to either of these... they cheer me up!

Good luck finding something to lift your mood.

Quit Citolopram altogether. It is an evil medicine. It better to suffer the lows and still be able to feel the highs than to be an emotionless zombie.
