Hi guys, i've got 4 sharkoon 2000rpm fans on my radiator, and these are connected in 2's (using a cable splitter) to my fan controller

how-ever, when i turn the fans down to miminum they are still very noisy. My fan controller reduces the voltage of them down to 6v.

Is there any way of reducing the speed any further

Thanks
Grant

connect them in 2's to your fan controller but wire them in series, not parallel (as you currently have with the cable splitter)

(will require tiny amount of re-wiring)

@ bigjimmyauk - my fan controller can reduce the speed of the fans down to 6v, i think some can go to 5v, but i doubt that will make a huge a difference.

@ pneumonic - for some reason, on mu ex58-extreme I can't adjust the speed of the fans at all through speed fan (no matter what setting i used in the bios), hence why i bought the fan controller

@ F1ZZY, thanks for the idea, i'm assuming by doing that each fan will therefore get half the voltage? Don't mind giving it a shot, as if it doesn't work i guess i will just have to replace the fans...

Thinking about this, i think my physic's is failing me when thinking about what F1ZZY said

would be greatful if you could clarify the effect, and how to go about it

Thanks
