reducing song Bit Rate

Hi, Ive got about 30gigs of music and about half of that is at 320k, whats the best way to lowerer it so i can fit it all on my ipod?

I use Media Monkey, but I'm no expert in such matters, so others might have better ideas.

I use 32-320 vbr mp3, encoded with EAC

I don't re-encode music, I'd only rip it again..

I strongly recommend against transcoding your mp3s. It ruins the audio quality, i.e. a 192kbps CBR mp3 transcoded from 320kbps CBR is going to be of worse quality than a 192kbps CBR mp3 ripped from a CD, or transcoded from a lossless source. You should only transcode from a lossless source, not a lossy one.

I recommend re-ripping the mp3s at a lower bitrate from the CDs
