Reduction in UK Troops commited to Iraq

Yep, get them fresh for the next war in Iran.. Bush needs our help boys, lets support him, and give him even more cannon fodder..

About time TBH, we shouldn't have been there in the first place. This will spark much debate, but Iraq is a bigger mess now, then it was when we first went in.. Bush and Blair have a lot to answer for..

Good to hear that a substantal pullout of UK forces has begun

I think it's pretty safe to say we won't be doing anything in Iran without the multi-lateral support of the rest of the world (notably the UN SC) I don't think the Government would be stupid enough to go on another publicly unpopular campaign.

Iraq is only in a bigger mess because the regime is gone (can you say 'ruling through fear'). I can see the problem with imported Democracy, but you cannot put all of the countries problems on Bush and Blair's doorstep, there is a lot of deep rooted hatred between the Sunnis and the Shias, and it's only emerged so violently because of the lack of Policing/Control in the area.
People seem to think that most of the violence in Iraq is directed against the coalition forces when it isn't. The country is on the brink of civil war, not revolt against the US and UK.

No matter weather/wheather the war in Iraq was right or wrong at least our troops are coming home which is the important bit. We are seeing progress, which is what cannot be said for our allied forces  Infact USA are hell bent on creating American bases there.

We need to focus more on our own country and our own borders and prevent another war, not spark one.

I don't see why people are saying "about time" etc. when these people joined the armed forces they should have thought that they may have to be involved in some sort of conflict. It's their choice if they want to be in the army.
