Hi guys,

Been looking around for a set of fans for my new Carbide case and apart from the usual suspects (Gentle Typhoon, Noiseblocker etc) came across the Reeven ColdWing 2000rpm fans.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience of these fans?

Just having a look over and:

2000rpm - 106.7CFM, 36.6dBa
800rpm - 43.03CFM, 14.5dBa

So from the outside they look great if they were installed on a decent fan controller.

From what I can tell the major difference is the sleeve bearing and low MTBF (30000hrs) compared to the majority of other fans (Ball bearing ~150000hrs).

Cheers,

Andy

Never heard of them.

After having a look over they sound like rubbish fans to me. Sleeve bearings have always been at the cheap end of the fan market. That said the sleeve bearing fans tend to be quieter but are totally useless for any horizontal mounting.

I've come across these fans the only thing off putting for me was the colour :p but I guess that's personal you might fancy a bit of yellow?
From what I've seen they have a pretty good air flow rating for the noise level so I wouldn't hesitate to buy them! The low RPM version anyway, I'm always after quiet fans ;)
