Could someone clear something up for me as I am struggling to understand,

Having looked at various manufacturers versions of the reference 290's I have no idea why the prices are different, aren't they all essentially the exact same card by AMD ?

Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, MSI listed on the site I am on atm although prices are ranging from 309 to 337, all 4GB with same clock speeds afaik, same outputs etc just different manufacturers stickers on the card.

Have manufacturers done anything else with these cards that I have missed to make them their own or simply added a sticker and sent them to market ? :confused:

Some manufacturers offer much better warranty terms and much better support.

For example Asus, MSI and Gigabyte allow warranty transfers when selling your GPU on and an extra 1 year over the cheaper brands.

It's not always about the GPU alone :)
 
Also OcUK are giving BF4 and AMD Silver award with several 290 cards which competitors are not, well over £50 worth of games. :)
