Ref or Non-Ref cooler?

Hi,

I have a corsair 650D in the standard fan configuration (though with replacement fans) and a noctua D-14 CPU cooler.

For this case and cpu cooler would it be better to use a reference cooler or would a (single) non-reference cooler be ok for airflow?

Sorry, I should have clarified it a bit - I'm talking about whether I should put a ref or non-ref 780 or R290 in with the case/air cooler combo I have.
