reference 5850 & EK 5870 waterblock

Hey guys, need some more confirmation

i've got a reference 5850 and EK block for it, just purchased another 5850 for crossfire under water and looking about for another EK block ( haha yeah right ) spotted a 5870 EK block and it's basically identical to my 5850 block and slightly cheaper, measured it kinda roughly against my block and it's arguably the same ( maybe a few microns out but i dont have proper calipers lol )

has anyone else done this and made it work? am i barking? lol

I was looking at this topic about a month ago (but the other way around as I had a 5850 block and wanted to put it on a 5870) but I was told (and after looking and some pictures very closely) that the 5850 and 5870 blocks were for their respective cards and wouldn't fit on each other.

So in short, no.

However, this is just what I have been told and what I have seen in photos so I may be wrong.
