Reference Levels: Anyone Find Entended too vivid and dark?

For the 360 VGA cable, you can select three different reference levels; does anyone find that the Extended reference level is too dark and vivid for the colours? This is on PC Monitor VGA connections, by the way.

I use a Dell 24" 2407WFP non HC.

Standard seems to be fine for me, but I was wondering what other people actually use for theirs.

Yeah I stay on standard, like you say find extended way too dark

It all depends on how your monitor interprets the signal, standard uses the NTSC standard for VGA inputs to HDTVs while Extended uses the true VGA standard. The middle option is a waste of time.
