Reformat needed?

I'm thinking of moving my 9550 to a new motherboard so I can clock it as the stock mobo I have isn't good enough (prebuilt rig) Would I have to re-format everything if I changed MOBO and re-seated the 9550 in the new mobo?

The bigger the change, the more likely it is.

You can chance it and hope for the best. If it doesn't work then you will have to re-install. Sorry

yes you will more than likely have a different chipset, network port, sound drivers etc, etc.

Will need a reinstall more than likely, if it doesn't then you wouldn't be gaining anything from your upgrade.

+1 its always best to flush out the garbage when adding new hardware, re-install

And a good excuse to load up Windows 7 RC which is what I did when I swapped mobo's last time although the time before I got away without a re-install going from a p35 to a x38 board.

Windows 7 RC x64 is the OS use for gaming.
