I've hit a rather large snag.
I need to reformat my computer because I use Vista, but the computer just stops working at one point, I'll say the steps I've done before getting to that point:

1. I've gone into the Bios setting to make the DVD drive the first boot-up priority.
2.I inserted the Vista disc and then I saved and exited the bios setting which automatically restarted my pc, after going through some of the screens it asked me to tap a key to boot up with the disc which I did.
3. It first shows a screen saying something like "Windows is loading files", and then the next screen shows the Vista loading screen and it finally stops at the Vista aurora screen to which my computer just stops working.

The mouse cursor works, so the computer hasn't crashed it just seems to not go past this point.
I'm using the Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit edition (Hell yeah! Worst one of the lot!) and it is a legit copy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What they said :D I'd read about this issue before I installed on my new Biostar I45/E8600 rig; which was lucky because it happened to me using Vista Ultimate too lol Give it a few minutes and the install picks itself back up again and won't falter after that :)

Vista Ultimate 64

Hi
I had the same problem with vista ultimate with my sata drives, kept getting the same screen up as you, so i was told to try and ide drive as vista ultimate can be promatic with sata drives, put in the ide, and it loaded straight away.
With no problems,
Good Luck
John
