As the title suggests i am considering reformatting my SSD which holds my OS. There is a lot of rubbish on it and i could probably do with just reformatting the SSD and reinstalling the OS.

Most of my games are stored on my HDD so that wouldn't get formatted. Is that a wise idea to reformat or am i just being lazy? I just feel like it could do with a fresh install so i can start afresh, i got a bit lazy when installing things and have installed lots of crap i don't need and it would otherwise take days to sift through all the rubbish on it. I have heard a few people say that's it's generally a good idea to refresh the PC every year or so. Is there any truth to that?

I normally give mine a format every now and then as a clean install is nice to have

I have all my steam games stored on a HDD and I just tell steam to look at that library on there and all my games are back!

as long as nothing is on there you need it shouldn't be a problem
